I have five years experience working as a psychologist. I have worked with adults, children and teenagers facing a range of difficulties including; anxiety, depression, stress, anger management, bullying, abuse, trauma, grief, loss, social anxiety, specific learning difficulties and challenging life adjustments.
I am happy to work with people of any gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity or race.
I have trained in a number of therapeutic orientations including, Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focused Therapy.
I have worked in hosptials, private practice and for not-for-profit organisations.
Hospital Setting

I am currently working with Dr. Dan at the University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) at the Department of Psychological Medicine.
Dr. Dan has trained and supervised my work for the past two years. The clients we see at UMMC tend to suffer from more complex and severe psychological difficulties. This has given me the opportunity to learn a wider range of techniques and therapeutic strategies.
As we are working at a public hospital Dr. Dan was able to observe my practice and give me feedback to enhance my clinical practice.
Private practice
I worked for a number of private mental health care service providers. I developed close working relationships with Psychiatrists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Special Needs Educators.
In addition to offering individual psychotherapy I have also worked with families and conducting psychological or learning assessments for children.
Non-Profit

I worked as a Centre manager and clinician for an NGO called SOLS Health. SOLS Health is a community-based mental health centre that connects children, adults, families, and communities to accessible and affordable mental health services with an emphasis on combating the stigma of mental health in Malaysia.
I oversaw the daily centre operations, managed interns and ran community health and well-being events. We focussed on children and families from impoverished families, children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders who are disadvantaged by the mainstream education and employment system.
We developed a programme for domestic violence and trauma survivors and provided talks and workshops to advocate for the breaking of stigma of mental health in Malaysia.
I am passionate in developing and delivering services that de-stigmatises mental health issues so women, family and youths are able to access effective mental health services.
Experience prior to training as a psychologist
Prior to be a clinical psychologist, I was an educator working with children and teenagers in the Klang Valley. I taught students and ran group programs and workshops for young people, parents and families.
