Hi, I am a Malaysian Doctor of Clinical Psychology. I have recently returned to Kuala Lumpur following three years of working within the UK’s National Health Service. I am passionate about assisting individuals who struggles with their mental health and emotional difficulties. My belief is that everyone deserves a chance for their voice to be heard, and to find a way to cope. I have particular experience working with individuals who have depression, anxiety, emotional and trauma-related difficulties, and psychosis.
I studied my undergraduate, masters and doctorate in the UK. I attained a Doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology from the University of East Anglia, UK. Through my Doctoral training I became competent in various evidence-based practises and interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and many more. I believe in having a thorough discussion with the individual to come up with approaches that is best suited for him/her.
I worked in the UK’s National Health Service for more than three years. I am experienced with working with individuals of various ages and backgrounds. I learned to adapt assessments and therapy to suit the needs of individuals. In all of my clinical experience, I received extensive supervision and guidance from experts in their field to ensure that I delivered the highest quality interventions.
How I work
Dr. Dan and I have a very similar approach to our work owing to the similar training we received in the UK. You can read my explanation of how I work here.
