Counselling & Psychology Services at Sri Inai International School

Welcome students, parents, guardians and teachers of Sri Inai International School!

Who are we?

We are a team of counsellors & psychologists, led by British Clinical Psychologist Dr Dan Seal. As a social enterprise, we focus on helping others rather than making a profit.

Our clinical psychologist, Marianne Ho is available for meetings at Sri Inai on Tuesdays. Marianne grew up in PJ and has substantial experience working with children, adolescents and adults, including those with special educational needs. You can read more about Marianne here.

Meetings with Marianne at Sri Inai are paid for by the school. You are welcome to meet with Share Resolve’s other psychologists at our centres in KL & PJ or via Zoom but the fees for those meetings won’t be covered by the school.

How can we help?

Our counsellors & psychologists offer talking therapy, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and an approach called the ReFlex Method. The ReFlex Method takes the best practices from Western psychology and adapts them for Asian cultures. Using these approaches means we can help with problems that may not improve with standard counselling. You can see a list of the problems we can help with here.

We have experience working in a number of international schools (for example, four of our psychologists are based at the International School of Kuala Lumpur). But every community is different and we welcome your comments, questions, and feedback. Please feel free to use the comments box at the bottom of the page or email us at info@resolve.my.

Confidentiality

Everything you or your child shares with their psychologist is completely confidential. We will never disclose what is discussed without permission.

The only time we will break confidentiality without permission is if we are worried that someone could be seriously hurt.

You can read more about the confidentiality and ethical guidelines we follow on our website.

This confidentiality rule can be frustrating for parents or teachers because we wait until we have permission from the student to share information. We do encourage students to share information with their parents and teachers but it can take time before the students trust us enough to do so.

We find that waiting for students to give their consent usually leads to them sharing more openly with their parents and teachers over time.

Where will meetings at Sri Inai be held?

Students can meet our psychologists at the Well-Being Room which is on the first floor of the Primary School by the stairs.

How to arrange a meeting

If you would like your child to meet with Marianne you should contact the Head of Primary, or the Head of Secondary.

Students can also drop-in to see us. If we are busy talking to another student they can arrange a time by scanning the QR code on the door of our

If you prefer to meet with one of our other psychologists, either online or in person at our centres in KL or PJ, our admin team will be happy to arrange this for you and answer any questions you may have about the process.
